We will be talking walking! at the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety

We are pleased to join the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety on 19–20 February 2020 in Stockholm, Sweden. The event is co-sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO), and minister-led delegations from more than 80 countries are expected to attend.

The conference will be an opportunity for delegates to share successes and lessons from implementation of the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011–2020 and define ways to accelerate action on proven strategies to save lives. The Conference will also provide an opportunity to link road safety to other sustainability challenges. Join us at 2 side events for our Valuable Road Users: "Walking Works: a Win Win Win Investment" - we will co-host with WHO and UN Environment to explore the many co-benefits that arise from investing in safe walking environments. This is an early bird event from 7.45-8.45am on 20 February. "Ensuring the Safety of Active Road Users" - we will give the opening expert view before the panel explores best practices for making walking and cycling safer and identifies key priorities for the next decade in road safety improvements. Our partner Fundapeaton from Medellin, Columbia will be joining us too. So sign up to join us and we look forward to fruitful discussions about how safe walking environments create many co-benefits for public health, urban life and global climate protection.
