Preliminary Program announced for Walk21 Bogotá

July 5, 2018

The preliminary conference program for Walk21 Bogota is now available.

This colourful program features a Ciclovia, the core Walk21 academic program as well as several exhibitions and excursions allowing for in-depth insights into walking-friendly urbanism in Bogotá and Latin America.

We are looking forward to a dense week of walking discourse and experience welcoming everyone, from international walking expert to local interested citizen.

Walk21 Bogotá will feature a wide range of Plenary Speakers presenting their views on how walking can transform a city's public spaces, help to tackle today's pressing urban challenges, or integrate a city's public spaces and public transport systems.

Meet the first of the exciting Plenary Speakers for Walk21 Bogotá.

Walk21 Bogotá will feature several interactive conference formats to share and experience walking insights from around the world.

The program of Walk21 Bogotá will be hosted in several conference venues in central Bogotá. You can download the condensed information about those venues in the Walk21 Bogotá Practical Information.

The main conference venue for the large morning plenary sessions will be the Teatro Municipal Jorge Eliécer Gaitan in central Bogotá.

This venue is located directly in Carrera 7 (7th street) where Bogotá's Ciclovia takes place every Sunday.

During 16, 17 and 18 October the afternoon sessions will be taking place in several universities and the City Hall.

The Walk21 Bogotá conference venues are all located in central Bogotá in walkable distance from each other.

Before and after the conference you will have a chance to visit many points of interest in Bogotá itself, the region around it as well as all of Colombia.

Combining your participation in Walk21 with a visit to Colombia is more than an option.  See you in Bogotá!
