We need your expertise!

We are engaged on an exciting new project with SLoCaT, Despacio and CAF in Columbia to prepare draft legislation for walking for their National Congress. Their congressman, Frederico Hoyos is keen to introduce his bill on 21 July - yes, in 1 week! While they are drafting the legal clauses, we need to build the background case for the legislation and need examples, national actions, commitments, policies and impacts. If you can provide some input and ideas, concrete examples and evidence for building the case for the legislation we would appreciate your input.

We are looking for successful strategies and legal frameworks from around the globe, with particular interest in examples from the developing world.

We are hoping that this local action, will become an international example for others to learn from and follow!

Even if you can’t answers the questions, but can point us in the direction of where we might find out these answers for your country, that would be very helpful. Any information that you can send would be appreciated especially by 15th July, please do so by reply or by writing to Carlos Pardo pardo@despacio.org or Bronwen Thornton bronwen.thornton@walk21.com with links and/or documents. We appreciate your help and double for being quick!
