Lets Move European Project starts

Today, at the headquarters of Energy Agency of Ribera (Sueca, Spain), the first meeting of the project Let’s Move! took place, attended by representatives of Prioriterre, the city of Wroclaw, the city of Koprivnica, and the Energy Agency of Ribera.

In the coming months the Advisory Committees will be formed in each region, which will be constituted by teachers, members of the parents associations, representatives of municipalities and the project partners. In addition, surveys will carried out in the school community to know the current status of mobility behavior in the school enviroment.

The main objective of the project Let Schools Move in a Healthy, Safe and Sustainable Way (Let’S move!) is to promote safe, healthy and sustainable mobility at schools. The project aims to change the perception of the school community in relation to commuting to school. This initiative will have benefits on the students, parents and teachers, improving their quality of life, health and social relations.

During the project school routes will be designed and implemented in each school and some activities and awareness campaigns on sustainable mobility will be carried out. Walking buses pilot experiences will also be conducted and international exchanges between students will be organized through the platform e-Twinning.
