This report gives an overview of 21 voluntary multi-stakeholder initiatives on sustainable, low carbon transport, the manner in which they measure progress and their alignment with the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development. This is the Second Progress Report updated based on the first progress report released at the Marrakech Climate Conference of the Parties (COP22) in November 2016. The Second Progress Report covers the progress of the initiatives up until 31st October 2017. The Global Sidewalk Challenge details are on pages 53 and 54 especially but the whole report is worth a read!
In collaboration with UNHABITAT, Walk21 is preparing a Best Practice Guide on Walking and Cycling in African Cities. In the Guide we would like to include examples and good practice case studies of policy, infrastructure, advocacy and perception studies from across the continent.
If you know of such examples - whether delivered by government, part of academic research, or civil society - please share information in the form here. We will follow up to find out more details, if necessary.
You are welcome to share details of your own project or work, as well as those of others. You can fill in the form as many times as you like – if you have more than one example please submit each one separately.
